ALS is tough. What I don’t like about the Product is the Customer Service. The unit is 5 days old. I called customer service back and the next person told me - 1. Once you buy the product we are done with you, especially if you went through Amazon Prime. 2. They told me that they sold the unit to Amazon and I bought it from them so they are done with me. 3. They did say however, that since the item is still under warranty that they would hook me up with a service rep in my area. I called the number they gave me and the people said they do not know what they are talking about. I tried to call customer service back but they are closed. I will try again to tomorrow. Right now I will tell you that the responses are not those of a good company. We will see.

The battery charger was missing so it was impossible to use it. I had to rent a lift for a month. The 2nd item came by truck in perfect condition, all parts present, and the whole thing was fairly easy to assemble. It operates well and smoothly, it moves around on carpet pretty well thanks to the double casters, and I now have 2 spare batteries. The batteries take (it claims) 4 hours to charge. Overall it's a good quality item and is reliable, which is important when a person's life largely depends on using it every day and having to be safe. I would recommend the invacare solid blue fabric sling to use with it.. we used a universal toileting mesh sling and it was too slippery and annoying. I would dock points for having to wait a month for a replacement but the lift itself is good.I have used manual lifts before, and the fact that this is electric is a plus for the caregiver and delivers a smooth ride to the patient.
