If I move the tuning knob down just a little to 144.9999 the signal is gone. It appears to shift maybe 10 KHz. Looking at the manual the PLL frequency step appears to be from a 12.002 MHz crystal that is slightly shifted by 50hz per tuning step. The schematic shows this voltage as 0 to 2.6 volts. The alignment instructions say to tune pot R58 for a 1st LO frequency of 923.700 when the dial is tuned to 145.0000. Ok, fine I can do that with R58. Next step is to drop the frequency to 144.9999 and set pot R49 to provide 1st LO of 923.6999. Nope, can't do it. R49 is all the way to one end of the range. The best I can do is 923.6900 MHz. By the way, there is a miss-print in the manual for this step. From the schematic I would expect a range of 0 to 2.6 volts to allow tuning of this oscillator. My next step will be to measure the X3 multiplier output to see if I get any variation of the 36 MHz signal. Heb je de set al aan een meetzender gehad om b.v. gevoeligheid te bepalen of is het overduidelijk dat iemand al eens aan diverse instelpunten heeft zitten draaien. En regel alleen maar de bandfilters af (diegene die aan de ingang zitten), dit kan met een normale multimeter, voor de rest is er bijna niks wat afgeregeld hoeft te worden. Deze ontvanger is standaard een beetje 'doof' denk dus niet dat je met alleen afregelen er een super gevoelige ontvanger van kan maken. Kijk ook even naar het printje met het geschakelde voedinkje erop (maakt de negatieve spanningen) de condensatoren hierop willen weleens uitdrogen en dat wil ook weleens problemen geven. Maar eerlijk gezegd kan ik er niet zo veel mee. Ik ben best aardig thuis in HF. Bouw eigen zenders, eigen antennes en meer van dat soort zaken. Ik ben F-gelicenceerd en heb enige basiskennis. Maar een ontvanger als de R-7000 afregelen vind ik geen goed plan. Ik heb daarmee geen ervaring en heb niet de juiste meetapparatuur te weten een goede meetzender en een scoop. Een counter en een multimeter heb ik natuurlijk. Maar daar red ik het niet mee. De klacht is eenvoudig: het gaat niet om de gevoeligheid. Nu overdrijf ik een beetje, maar het zit niet goed in de ontvanger. De LO frequentie wijkt 25 khz af in WFM en zo'n 5-10 khz in nfm. In ssb heb ik niet gekeken. Bovendien lijkt het LO signaal soms net te zwak om de pll te laten locken. Dit soort zaken waren de reden voor mijn vraag. Nu kan het best zo zijn dat ie eigenlijk geen afregeling nodig heeft, maar dat wil ik graag zeker weten. De enige oplossing is dan toch de meetpunten afgaan en een aantal kringen afregelen op beste resultaat. En daar wilde ik graag wat hulp bij. Maar ik zag net de naam AMCOM dus daar zal ik eens naar gaan kijken. Zoals inderdaad al eerder gemeld heb ik de manual en ik heb ook wat pre-ampjes voor diverse banden. Nogmaals dank allen en als jullie nog suggesties hebben hoor ik het graag.Frequentie goed zetten en detector trimmen is wel te doen. Bij Amcom moet je goed terecht kunnen, die voeren het merk en hebben de spullen. Probeer iets af te spreken. Zelf kan ik het ook, maar dan wordt het een wat langere-termijn-planning. Ik werk nauwkeurig, maar langzaam en in de vuluurtjes.
