CA UTION: T O A V OID SERIOUS INJUR Y, BEFORE PERFORMING ANY SER VICE OR ADJUSTMENTS: 1. Release control bar and stop engine. 2. Make sure the blade and all mo ving par ts ha ve completely stopped. 3. Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place where it cannot come in contact with plug. Add stabilizer to gasoline in fuel tank or storage container. Alwa ys f ollow the mix ratio f ound on stabilizer container. Run engine at least 10 minutes after adding stabiliz er to allow the stabiliz er to reach the carburetor. Do not drain the gas tank and carburetor if using fuel stabiliz er. ENGINE OIL Drain oil (with engine w ar m) and replace with clean en- gine oil. (See “ENGINE” in the Maintenance section of this manual). CYLINDER 1. Remov e spark plug. 2. P our one ounce (29 ml) of oil through spar k plug hole into cylinder. 3. Pull star ter handle slowly a f e w times to distr ib ute oil. 4. Replace with new spark plug. Do not use plastic.
