And today I tested with the First Response and found out I'm pregnant. However, I feel like this product is a total ripoff as it's basically just the normal (way cheaper) test strips inside a plastic holder. After you take the test, you eject the test strip holder from the reader and you can see only one line if the device gave you a negative result (a circle with no smiley face in it). If the device gave you a positive result (smiley face in a circle), the ejected test stick shows two lines. As you get closer to ovulation, you'll still get a negative result from the device, but you'll start to see the ejected test strips with a faint second line (meaning you're close but not there yet). Other things I didn't like: Personally, I'd rather see the strip with the line being non-existent, then gradually showing up until it's clearly as dark as the control line. It made me way more anxious just getting a negative result over and over and then all of a sudden it was positive and everything was fine. It's very hard to keep the tester clean from splashes, and just overall more difficult to manage.

It will not take much Googling to find that it's best to take ovulation tests between 12pm - 8pm if you're on a normal sleep schedule, as your body doesn't really produce the hormone it's testing for in the morning (unlike pregnancy tests). So I was really irritated by that oversight as I could have missed my positive result had I exclusively tested in the morning (the second month I was tracking I took the test the morning I expected to ovulate and got a negative and then took it again in the evening and got a positive). So overall, while this product did do the job (but only because I stopped following the directions and stopped testing in the morning), I feel like it's so not worth the extra money. We are actually ready to start trying for real this month so I ordered a box of 50 ovulation tests PLUS 20 pregnancy tests for literally half the price of this kit, and so far they work very well. From the United StatesI did an experiment today by filling a small cup with urine and tested with a wondro ovulation test and this clear blue digital one. My wondro test showed up with 2 dark lines while the clear blue showed negative for ovulation and had a faint line. I also tried testing my saliva with a mini microscope to see if there’s a fern like shape which means I am ovulating, sure enough there were fern shaped crystals in the saliva test. Save yourself some money and get the Wondros ovulation test which is more accurate and a lot cheaper. I have attached the photo of my wondro test and the clear blue one.Please try again later. I have read the instructions to see the possibilities of error that are provided and none of them make sense. I hold the test in my stream the right amount of time, it fails. I dip the strip in my sample for 15 seconds, it fails. I don’t eject it until i get a read of some kind. I hold it pointing down while testing and lay it flat while it loads, it fails. This is very frustrating. I may be missing my fertile days because this test seems to never work and it’s super expensive so I don’t want to use another test in the same day especially since I might just get another error message. I enter every encounter with this product expecting it not to actually work because it has consistently shown me that it doesn’t really work. I had still had tests after my last cycle and I read that I CAN use the same digital reader with the left over sticks from that same first original box. I have tried the test both in my urine stream and dipping it in a sample. The box clearly states the lines on the test strip are not indicative of your result, and don’t mean anything. So I can’t even try and decipher that when the digital aspect fails. Waste of my money, and a waste of my time. The cheap ones may be harder to decipher but at least they provide consistent results.
