I've done it dozens of times - visually it looks perfect, but it doesn't tick the box in the video challenge. Swapping a kickflip for the pop-shuvit doesn't seem to help either. Any suggestions? Sometimes you have to hold the move for a bit for it to register. Try manual-ing for a second or two before throwing in the flip, then holding the manual after you land.
