I have used just yesterday and today it started messing up!! ANY HELP and i would be very grateful!!\015 It no longer sucks up the water and seems to only blow air. I already removed all the hair and fuzz buildup.I no longer have the manual to look at. Can someone help me? That makes the thing stop sucking up water out of the carpet.

Problem is, it has barely sucked up any water yet. Help! I have only used it once since then and it worked great. This time, because I am pregnant, I bought some non-toxic cleaner that was much thicker than the very watery Hoover soap. This vac has a wash option and a rinse option. The rinse option works (sprays and sucks properly), but the wash cycle doesn't at all-neither soap nor water comes out. Nothing comes out, but it still sucks. I took everything o Suction on the hand tool works somewhat, but water is not collecting in the bucket. There is suction coming from the floor but water is not going into the bucket. It does not appear to be clogged because I can feel with my hand that air is flowing from the floor. The water is not being sucked into the bucket. When i sucked up quite a fair sized puddle of water. The hoover instantly cut out and a strange burning smell was coming from it. Would this be the fuse, motor etc. Or would it be worth my while just replacing the entire hoover. I realise that your question may simply be a joke, but if you are serious, I think it is probably fair to assume that it is now dead and p.I borrowed it from my Sister and she left it with no instruction book or letting me know how to operate it. That's all I know to do. Do I put any water in bottom tank. I figured not, since that is probably where the water goes when sucked up by vac. Do I leave lid on bottom tank. I usually use a commercial cleaner, and this is very different. I need to know NOW, as I must return it to her today, and I'm Someone responded with a solution that gave me the website where I could go and print the manual in pdf, so did that, and checking instructions I was able to clean my carpets and get the shampooer back to.Blowing air out. No vacuum, and the tank overflow ball snaps into place. I had a tank lid latch fail, and the symptoms you report were identical..It is still spraying the cleaner correstly though, just won't suck it back up.

I've emptied it several times and it was working properly up until a few minutes ago. Will take it in for service. Works good when it did work. I may need to return this as it is not working! It was a quick and easy fix and I was back to work in no time. Examine your dirty water tank. And all entrances to it.then look insude the tank for a float of any type. If its stuck from gunk it can close way to early I removed it and it worked. Thank you ociecompton If it is stuck in the up position the machine will not make vacuum. It’s a yellow flat sided cylinder. Looks kind of like a biscuit. It was easy to fix once I finally figured out the problem with the help of this site. I would like to see a video about this problem and solution.

It would help a lot of people, apparently. The trouble shooting “tips” in the factory instructions — like other videos I’ve seen — belabor the obvious and offer “duh” “solutions” to non-problems. (My machine won’t run. Solution: Make sure it’s plugged in. Duh!) my machine, btw, is a SteamVac carpet cleaner. Mine flipped out when I dumped the dirty water tank, pull it up, then back down, make sure you can't pull it forward, that should do the trick. After the first dirty water dump it stopped sucking because the yellow float “ball” would immediately go up and stop the flow. I found that the sleeve filter over the yellow float was indeed the culprit (as stated in a previous post). It restricted the airflow just enough to cause the problem. I tried rinsing the filter really well but even a little bit of air constriction was too much. I took it off completely and that did the trick. I don’t know what long term effect this might have on the machine, but it’s a good short term fix. Btw, if you have a lot of foam in the dirty water it will cause the same problem - the yellow float will stay in the up position and stop the suction. In this case dumping the dirty tank and rinsing out the foam will fix the problem. All brand names and logos are registered trademarks of their respective owners.
