Reattach the plug wire to the plug, hold the plug by the rubber boot and touch the tip to bare metal on the engine block. Pull the starter cord and look for a spark to jump the gap in the spark plug tip. If there’s no spark, try again with a new spark plug. If you get no spark in either test, the engine’s ignition system probably needs servicing. Reassemble Engine After clearing flooding and verifying that you have spark, reinstall the spark plug in the engine. Mix a fresh batch of two-cycle fuel and pour it into the gas tank. Push the primer bulb at the side of the carburetor until it is full of fuel. If the engine doesn’t start within a few pulls, it may need attention from a repair shop.
