They obviously did this to save money. They should have a manual for the electronic fuel injection model years specifically, and separately. But the sad thing is, there's not much out there for EFI. Were stuck with this.You can find all the info you need on the web. Don’t waste your money if your bike is EFI. Not satisfied at all.It has EVERYTHING you need to know about the bike. Only con I can think of is it that doesn't provide the necessary tools needed to complete each task but that's just me looking for something to complain about. All in all, it's a worthy purchase and can actually save you a lot more money than having to use a mechanic.I've had Clymer manuals for all of my bikes (Hondas, Triumphs, Suzukis, and Harleys). The only complaint about this one is that my 2013 Sportster Forty-Eight is not covered in the main text. Features of this bike are included in the supplement at the end. So now I have to cross reference between the normal text and the supplement at the back of the book to do anything. With electronic publishing on-demand, it seems that it would have been easy to integrate the supplement with the main text.

It also seems to me that this would be a good product to publish as a pdf or some other electronic format so that one could view it on their laptop while working on the bike.Some information is in places you don't think but not bad. I made the assumption that by letting the app use my location all the time it would track automatically. I drove 2100 miles to Sturgis SD and didn’t clock a one. And never thought about it until it was too late. Guess I should have read the directions better. My bad. Did it again yesterday. Half way through a ride I remembered. Other then that pretty cool app. I like it I have experimented with the app since it was published and find the ride planning and navigation lacking and still difficult to use, even on my 2019 Ultra Limited BoomBox Nav system, although I understand there is a point where the bike Nav system is separate from the app., neither the app ( via PC or phone) or BoomBox Nav system are user friendly with a few exceptions and trying to map out a ride is frustrating at best. I tried use my phone and Maps with Car-play (a great feature, if access able) which is user friendly however the phone doesn’t fit in the phone cubby. I purchased the HD phone mount at the HOG rally thinking it would work but phone falls out of that. So far, not a fan! The BoomBox nav system, prompts, screen info and features compared to Maps, Google, Garmin etc is lacking. I do like the fact I can track my rides with the app. It has been very nice as have gone some places and just made some turns that I would like to repeat. The issue I’ve had is the app keeps telling me that the bike has low voltage. Took bike into dealer to have charging system looked at. Turns out it is fine, but still get low voltage warnings even after 200 mile ride. Dealer called Harley to find out what the issue could be. After several hours of trouble shooting still no idea what is causing the problem showing low voltage. In fact battery was showing very good voltage. Harley’s response is they don’t know what the parameters are to trigger the warning.
It would be nice to be notified of a problem if there was a problem but repeated warnings for no problem is irritating. Each tab includes subcategories. To select a particular subcategory you should use the UP and DOWN buttons and press CENTER button. Select the subcategory you need with the UP or DOWN buttons. Then push CENTER button to enter the menu. Pressing it with CENTER button will bring you back to the Homescreen. Movement between the tabs is carried out using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons.
