G610 will be wa ked up cycled and monitored t he GSM n etwork const antly for any inco ming calls or data.To sav e power, all t he G610 interna l clocks and circ uits are shut dow n, and therefore s erial communic ations is lim ited. At the sa me time th is indicates the G 610 serial inter faces are act ive. Important: G610 will not ent er Sleep mode i n any case whe n there is data prese nt on the serial inter face or inco ming from the GSM networ k or an internal sy stem task is r unning. The ATS24 de fault is 0. In this mode the G610 interface s and features ar e f unctio nal and the mo dule is fully act ive. Sleep mo de is activat ed by the ATS24 co mmand.A fter this sh ort paging is co mpleted, G 610 returns to s leep mode. During this short awake per iod, the serial in terfaces are en abled and communicat ions with the module is poss ible.
