Wow.I have never written a product review until I purchased this product. I was looking for something that would quickly reach the selected temperature. Next morning after the purchase I attempted to bake cinnamon rolls (from the can). After what I thought was ample time to preheat I put them in the oven and set the timer for the recommended baking time. When the timer sounded I saw the rolls were still raw. I reset the timer again for the same cooking time. In the end it took almost 45 minutes to finally bake after I set the thermostat to 450. Few days later tried baking pizza and again it took an hour. Checked the trouble shooting paragraph in the users guide.it says if not getting up to temp then the door is open and therefore to resolve the problem is to close the oven door. Seriously? After that I went and bought an oven thermometer. I thought I bought a DUD and considered exchanging it for another. After seeing the good and bad reviews it looks like about half the ovens manufactured are not performing as advertised, I decided to get my money back. Shame on you GE, I expected more from you. Wish I still had my 20 year old toaster oven back, it's performance far exceeded what GE is putting on the shelves. Bottom line is I wasted a lot of my time and effort giving this product a chance to perform. This is a great oven. The only thing I don't use it for is toast unless it's pre buttered texas toast. If it fits you can bake anything in this oven that you can in your full sized oven. The rotisserie is also great for roasting just about anything. I was worried about quality before buying it because of the low price. Well I got what I paid for and a lot more. I've even used it as a dehydrator to make jerky. Yes, I would reccomend it to a friend. See more Reviewed by TomK54 TomK54 Helpful. I've only had it a little over a week and have not yet had a chance to use the rotisserie, but may try it on a guinea hen tomorrow and want to try a cake. I have only used it to bake cookies. They came out great. You do have to do some adjustments to cooking time, but that would be true for any smaller sized oven. I'll bullet point my review below. Front door is pretty solid. Comes with a grounded plug! (Some ovens these days do not.) Only one criticism: I wish it had a longer power cord. The cord is really really short. Would be nice if it were even just 6-inches longer. The exterior did not heat up as much as I thought it would. Many of these ovens get really really hot. This GE did get hot, (I would not want to touch the outside!), but did not emit a lot of extra heat. However, I would not recommend attaching it under a counter, etc. Built-in timer is great! Oven preheats quickly. At the required temp, it only took 10-min. Cookies baked evenly. Didn't have to rotate the tray. I do recommend purchasing an oven thermometer since there's no display on the oven. No brainer, but some people forget that it's supposed to be, so don't be surprised when it arrives. However, it does actually appear smaller once you have it setup for a couple of days.ya know, you get used to it. The inside dimensions are approximately 12x12-inches. Note that this is on the LOWEST rack position. There is a slight angle to the front so you lose some interior space as you go towards the top of the oven. With three available positions. The ovens that are 2x's to 4x's as much in cost don't come with as many extras as this one. Great shipping there. Over all, this is a great oven. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. In terms of longevity, that remains to be seen. I'll update this review as needed.

But in the meantime, I'll keep toasting, baking and roasting away. The rotisserie works well with small chickens and game hens as well as skewered meats and firm fish.Too bad these aren't available here and hope they didn't stop manufacturing them. When our big oven died and we needed one to get us by while we searched for a new big oven, we quickly discovered how much we liked having a smaller countertop oven. Now we only occasionally, once or twice a month, use the big oven ever since buying this one. We wanted an oven with control knobs like this one, rather than digital controls as we've found out over the years, and many failed toaster ovens later, that digital controls will burn out, usually within 5 years, often less. We bought a very over-priced Delonghi countertop convection oven and the digital controls died after less than 2 years. We bought this GE over 10 years ago and it's still our favorite appliance in the kitchen. I always operate it on convection mode as it heats more evenly. Also use in broil mode. The only thing I may need to do is rotate a pan about half-way during the cooking time. Everything comes out evenly heated. I've never used the rotisserie function since we already have a rotisserie. Hope I can find another one of these ovens and will continue my search. This thing gets used at least once a day if not more, and it still looks great. I wrap the drip tray in foil so whatever falls onto it gets caught on the foil. The tray still looks new.
