But the oven heats one side more than the other, the tall fitted freezer is always icing over in the top, the dishwasher does not dry properly. But our main issue after 6 months of use our hob stopped working. It was just over 800quid, an induction hob. It's showing error code er47. We tried calling numerous times but kept hanging on for over an hour, recorded message said to leave a call back request online. Done that 5 times.

We have resolver involved and got automated messages back saying they will call us, be patient. It's been over 2 months, last week of June our hob stopped working. Have tried to get DIY Kitchens to help but not really doing much, not their issue they said, just sent a couple of emails to CDA. So now contacted citizens advice and trading standards. Why do company's do this?! Offer good warranty's that they are not fulfilling. A local appliance repair center contacted us a couple of weeks ago saying they had been contacted by a company called Repair Care, who CDA had asked to sort out a visit for us, but they had tried to contact CDA themselves to try and get technical help with the error code on our hob. They did not get any help, they were infact told that everyone is working from home so they can not be put through to the relevant department!! Also the local repair center they told us in their experience that CDA are not a good company to do work with, and it would be weeks before anyone would get to fix my hob with all the back and forth, lack of communication and parts ordering with CDA, repair care and our local appliance repair center. And that's after anyone gets back to them with the help they need in tech help as they are not CDA approved or knowledgeable in CDA appliances. Funny thing is, our warranty states that only parts or repairs should be done by CDA approved engineers. So angry. Not once have we had any call from CDA. Never have I had an issue like this. Wish I had bought elsewhere.I bought 5 appliances. The combi oven gets the external surfaces very hot when switched on therefore can not be used.I have been trying since the 11th of august to get anyone from CDA to speak to me.I have written to their CEO Ian Kershaw - Nothing.Since then I have had 6 different visits by engineers who when they have visited have not fixed it and ordered a part which never arrives.

I phone them and have to wait in a que for an hour to be told that the paperwork for the part has been missed placed and it will be with me shortly (This happened on two separate occasions). The part arrives and the engineer comes back and says its the wrong part (Its the same engineer) and it starts all over again. The latest attempt to fix it has resulted in the entire hob now not working so I no longer can cook anything. This is the worst customer service I have experienced and would advise anyone to avoid this company.I took the developer's advice and registered all the goods. NINE engineer visits later and the machine is STILL not working properly. Three weeks ago, I was promised a replacement machine. I've rung THREE times since then as I've had no feedback. When I asked who was going to take out the old machine, fit the new one and dispose of the faulty washer, I was met with silence. I have been nothing but patient with CDA and the engineers over the past few weeks and this is where it's got me. I'd like some positive news now please CDA. I have emailed you guys through the Trust Pilot address, too.Had to pay an extortionate ?48 to have the small 5kg box delivered, but it was the hob I wanted and could not get it anywhere else so sucked it up as I assumed it would arrive very swiftly and well packed, given it was five times what any normal online retailer would charge for shipping a simliar item. How wrong I was! Two weeks later it finally arrived in a very flimsy battered box. As if that wasnt bad enough the hob was scratched. After a few exchanges of emails with the dealer CDA offered to replace the hob with a new one, you guessed it, two weeks later. I still have no cooking facilities and am still waiting for the replacement. No offer to reimburse me for the ?48 shipping I paid to have a small damaged product delivered in two weeks.

Absolutely terrible customer serviceI had been worried that I wouldn’t get my extended warranty due to the time delay but she assured me that this was not the case and directed me to where all the serial numbers were. A good customer experience. My call was handled by Alex S who not only dealt with my request in a fast, efficient manner, I feel he went beyond what was required. If I ever need to call customer support again, I will be doing so in complete confidence. Thank you for a first-class service!Michelle March was very helpful and is obviously on the right job looking after customers.Basic parts, not requiring an engineer and still this company can't deliver. Upon calling the company customer care, I finally get through and get asked to hold and then they hang up on me. If you look through social media and any other review site you will see that this company is very untrustworthy. We've looked into the system and it looks like you want an extended warranty which we don't provide. If you visit cdawarranty.co.uk and call that number a company called UK warranty will be able to help. Thanks. I phoned CDA who were very good and organised an engineer to come out in 2 weeks. The engineer arrived pushed a button and then sat in his car for 15 minutes. When he came back he said ' Well that didn't work' and ordered a replacement mother board. The board arrived at my house instead of the engineers to CDA's surprise when I phoned to arrange an engineer again after a week. Unfortunately they couldn't reach the person who books engineers and said they would phone me back. 4 Days later I phoned back as I had not received a call to be told that the same person didn't start till 10am but they would call me back then. Still no call so I phoned up in the afternoon at 4pm and was told that they had now gone home. I phoned 2 days later and they couldn't get through again but I was told they will phone me back today. Repeated this for 3 days straight. Still no call!

I phoned the next day and spoke to the same person I did on day 1 and she was very apologetic and couldn't understand why it had taken so long. She gave me the number of the 3rd party service providers, who I called and got it booked in for 2 weeks (Tomorrow). I phoned the 3rd party service provider to confirm the booking and was told CDA had cancelled the booking as they were supplying their own engineer. I thought great, an engineer who knows exactly what he will be doing, But I thought I better check with CDA. I spent 1:30 on hold waiting to speak to someone who told me that I was actually booked in with the 3rd party supplier. I was then put on hold while she phoned them for another hour until a recorded message came up on the phone to say that everyone was busy and to drop them an email or call back later. I have been 6 weeks without a washing machine and have received to worst customer service ever!!! Won't buy another product from them because if it goes wrong it's not worth the hassle.Thank you Michelle.Well done to Michelle This was time without any cold food storage.I have now retracted my latter comments and given 5 stars to the quick response to the review. The power unit in our induction hob broke over a week ago and we called them straight away (but an engineer only called out today). Unfortunately he still wasnt able to fix the hob as he didnt have the spare part (he also couldn't remove the hob due to a light layer of silicone around the edges). But he was able to tell us what the problem was without even removing the hob and just by listening to what happened, so I'm not sure why the part wasn't ordered before the engineer came. After the engineer left, I rang CDA who confirmed the spare power will be ordered (After 40 mins of waiting on the phone). I also removed the silicone layer so that the engineer can remove the hob without a problem. I expected an appointment in a couple of days, given that we've been without a hob for quite some time.

But we've been told to wait 8 more days for the next available engineer. This means another week of oven baked meals (and takeouts), which is proving to be costly and inconvenient. Theres so much faffing around here. I could have bought a new hob and installed it in a day (for as much as the CDA engineers call out)- which was not covered by the warranty. The engineer callout fee is ?120 and we have easily spent at least that amount in oven baked food and takeouts over the last week. At this point I think it might have been cheaper to get a new induction hob which could be delivered and installed in a day from another company. Overall, I'm not happy with the below par customer support and expect better. I cannot recommend CDA because their service is lacking. It started freezing everything about 6 weeks ago. After weeks of begging customer service to do something about it, they sent me a replacement part. An engineer installed it this morning and guess what. It is STILL freezing everything. I put a glass of water in there to check and it froze SOLID (not a drop of liquids left) within 3 hours. Phoned back. I was on hold for 30 minutes and now they say they will be sending another engineer out to diagnose it, but when this will happen, they do not know. I will be phoning the Ombudsman tomorrow.I phoned and my query was dealt with quickly. The shelf arrived 2 days later. No problems at all. Thank you. It's 3 and a bit years old and has needed a major part each time. Impossible to get to speak to someone on the phone unless prepared to hang on for hours. Email reply completely missed the point and ?119 required upfront before a call-out can be booked. My advice is avoid this company and their products. (Would have given a no star rating if I could have!). This alerts the user that the dishwasher may need attention.

Since the lights and sounds mean different things on different models, it is best to refer to your Owner's Manual for an explanation of the various blinking lights and beeping sounds. Download a copy of your Owner's Manual. Beeping Sound, Blinking, and Will Not Start: A beeping sound every 30 seconds: Indicates the dishwasher door was unlatched during the cycle. Close the dishwasher door to resume the cycle. This light will blink for 75 to 90 seconds, depending on the model. View a short video about blinking lights: Other blinking lights or beeping sounds: May indicate a problem with the dishwasher caused by power surges. Restore power and the dishwasher should function normally. View a short video about resetting your dishwasher: If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue and the dishwasher is still beeping and flashing lights, service may be needed. The thought of all those long years of peace in the household giving way once again to bitter conflict as struggle ensues over who has to wash the dirty dishes. But the good news is that the dishwasher is the most likely to appliance to malfunction as a result of simple issues that can be easily resolved, without requiring expensive dishwasher repairs. So you have time to troubleshoot the fault and see if it is one of the many issues that you can resolve yourself.

Here are just a few examples of common dishwasher problems: If you suspect the problem requires electrical work to fix, take the safe option and call a professional, unless you have experience working with electronics. Electrical components will usually be located in the door and at the base, and can be accessed via the inspection panel or by removing the inner door. These parts can carry current even when the dishwasher is switched off and unplugged. Try plugging another small appliance into the same socket and see if it works. If it does, the problem is with the dishwasher. Most dishwasher door latches are made of plastic, and if they’ve degraded to the point where they can’t hold the door closed then the dishwasher won’t start. You can find instructions on how to do this in the manual. Again, reset the appliance by pressing the reset button. In addition, some dishwashers have their own circuit breakers which can be reset. Checking the condition of these components will require you to remove the control panel, so you may want to contact a professional unless you’re familiar with the inner workings of a dishwasher. Here are some routine checks you can make before calling a professional: You’ll find them in the bottom of the dishwasher, and they’re easy to twist and pull out. If it’s squashed it may not be able to drain properly. It is important to note here that the combination of beeping and lighting display mean different things in different dishwasher models. If so the appliance may memorise the cycle status and will not start a new cycle the next day. Check your appliance’s instruction manual on how to reset the appliance. Check your dishwasher handbook on how to refill this. This may indicate anti-flood device activation. This means that the dishwasher sensors have detected water in the casing and has stopped working to prevent the water in the drum from leaking over your floor. If it is an integrated model, sponge off water in the base.

If it is a freestanding appliance, tilt the machine slightly to drain out the excess water. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the dishwasher will ensure that it continues to work without developing a fault and so saves you hours every week. According to service engineers on UK White Goods, most dishwasher problems are down to people not knowing how to look after their dishwasher because they didn’t read the instruction manual. If you have a problem with an appliance, call in a NICEIC or Gas-Safe registered appliance engineer to repair your appliance. Don’t forget that if your appliance is not working optimally, you should also have it serviced to prevent causing damage to the appliance. Try our Troubleshooting Guide.
