Whats the little phone icon on the computer display for. According to the car manual more details are in the audio manual which I don't have.Only got the car on Monday. All I had on the screen display was sound, phone and bc icon. The BC only displayed the timer function so I went to a bloke who plugged in a tech 2 and gave me the BC1 and 2 functions. It was only when I got home I found that the phone icon had disappeared. I'm presuming that as the phone icon had been displayed that the previous owner had a bluetooth phone connected.Feedback Buttons provided by. User Alert System provided by. I have a 58 plate Vectra with a CDC 40 Opera (with DAB) sound system, which is apparently made by Blaupunkt.http://chinajessie.com/seadata/data/uploads/img/162487472120.xml

blaupunkt cdc 40 opera manual, blaupunkt cdc 40 opera manual, blaupunkt cdc 40 opera manual pdf, blaupunkt cdc 40 opera manual download, blaupunkt cdc 40 opera manual 2017, blaupunkt cdc 40 opera manual free.

From various forums I have heard that the system is bluetooth capable, and may just need a software update to enable this. So I called Vauxhall, who didn't seen to have a clue. I have tried to find a phone number for Blaupunkt, but can't find one. Does anyone know any more about it, and if it is just a software update, or if it needs any additional parts. CDC 40 was introduced by Blaupunkt in 2001 - not many phones had bluetooth back then. Your best bet would be to connect a Parrot bluetooth kit. I presume that this version came out long after 2001? And where is the microphone. The one model up CDC 50 had a phone built in (with a sim card slot), then CDC 70(?) had satnav. No bluetooth. The only phone-related thing on CDC 40 is the mute line-in connector to connect to an external bluetooth (eg. Parrot). And where is the microphone. The only phone-related thing on CDC 40 is the mute line-in connector to connect to an external bluetooth (eg. Parrot). There is also an auxillary imput available as an optional extra, which does connect a mobile phone through the CDC 40 system. The first person I spoke to at Vauxhall actually read out the details, saying that the phones contacts are displayed through the dash board display. As for the microphone, there is posssibly one above the rear view mirror, between the motion sensors. Or it may just use the phones own microphone. Satnavs can also be connected to the auxillary socket. After speaking to someone else it appears that the phone may also be able to be connected via a bluetooth module that plugs into the back of the stereo system. So I presume that this is activated when a phone is connected, or it needs the software update that I mentioned. You can see the phone tab on page 21 of this pdf manual. I know it isn't in english, but it is the same in my book: No software changes required.http://hzdsbg.com/upload/1624874722.xml

- you can also fit the standard General Motors bluetooth kit UHP4 made by Delphi. Obsadzilem odpowiednie piny w zlaczu, wyprowadzilem sobie gniazdko 3.5mm jack.

Chcialbym by pojawilo mi sie cos takiego: (fotka z sieci) Co radzicie. Co dalej? Moze ja robie cos zle, moze radio nawet fabrycznie posiadajace AUX nie ma go w menu, i jakims cudem (detekcja impedancji na wejsciu?) wykrywa podpiecie czegos do aux i dopiero sie wtedy pojawi w menu radia? No i nie ma go tez w menu radia.Rowniez odswieze. Doszedlem do takich danych: Ja mam: Code Index and Version 011 03 Audio Index and Version 022 02 Temperature Index and Version 024 01 lub Code Index and Version 051 01 Audio Index and Version 022 02 Temperature Index and Version 024 01 Jak widac zmienia sie tylko poczatek, jesli zapiszemy to binarnie. No u niektorych sie udaje opcomem albo techem (przestawienie Code Index and Version 011 na Code Index and Version 051 ) i wejscie aux sie pojawia, a u niekorych (jak u mnie) nic to nie daje.

Please login or register to see this quote. Opera wykrywa dab po lini can i uaktywnia aux. Aktualizuje ktos jeszcze ten modul happy light. Moze autor tego modulu potrafil by dodac do funkcji aktywacje auxa. Wystarczylo by ze modul skomunikowal by sie z opera udajac dab;).Mozna sprobowac puscic AUX przez ten piny. So I have an issue and I am not sure if this has been discussed before or not. If a CD (or MP3 disc) has the track titles on it (so you can view them while listening), the display screen does not scroll (while the song is playing), therefore you can not read the entire song title. Is there something like an option I have missed, has anyone encountered this issue. Just seems kind of stupid that you should only be able to see titles that have a short name to them. Let me go check mine. I couldn't figure out how to make it scroll. It is plenty long enough I would think though. Just from that segment I'm sure you can figure out what song was playing for example. On the plus side, I did just figure out how to set the car start-up volume and driving adjust volume.:D Why only do half the job, why do it at all if the limitation is so low.

I've read auto reviews that complain about the truncated song titles even on vehicles with a big navigation display. My2005 G6 radio would only display a portion of an artist's name or song title (either from a disc or from an XM station) and my 2007 Aura and 2008 Sky radios won't display any information from discs but displays the same truncated info for XM stations. It has to be some silly programming issue since actual FM stations will scroll through all of the song or station information. It will however scroll through the entire artist, album, and track name once, completely. It doesn't keep scrolling though. When it gets back to the beginning it just shows the first 10 or so letters and stops. My 05 Vue Redline could.all well, just a little annoyance that should be fixed. I DID get the ADVANCED AUDIO PACKAGE That is supposed to have ADVANCED display information:hothead: The standard radio display looks like early 80s MS-DOS. No joking! It's just awful. Most headunits that provide CD TEXT - should have this option. If you can't find it while the radio is on - try turning the radio off, or putting it in standby, then going into the options. Like I said, I don't own one of these cars, or even messed with one.On another note with the advanced audio, I crank up the stereo, sounds good, but when it gets bassy or music really kicks in, the stereo gets quieter (the volume almost fluctuates), I turn the volume knob up and it does not make a difference. What gives??? I checked to make sure that the speed volume control is set to 0 (which I would assume means off), is there something else that I am missing here.Let me go check mine. So for excessively long titles it might not display it all, but ya still know which song you are listening to. I'll try it on the Astra im gonna have to fix tomorrow. Also, I've had a bit of a problem with one of my front right speakers making this clicking sound and cutting out at high volumes. I don't THINK it's blown because it doesn't really make a constant crackly noise. It's more of a pop and then it cuts out for a second. I wonder if it could be a loose connection or a bad cone. If there is an automatic volume reduction I'm going to be pissed. I too tried turning the SDV to 0 and it dind't make a difference. If there is a volume cap, and my speaker still blew, I'm going to be livid. Ok so I am not the only one that is now experiencing some minor issues with the car. Should we start a new thread for issues (not sure if one is created) on specifics with the car, like the Advanced Audio.etc I have 2 issues and counting: 1. CD Text cannot be read for the entire song and it will not scroll (weird how radio stations will scroll through the words though) 2. The automatic volume reduction - this is very very annoying, I will be speaking to my salesman tomorrow for sure If anyone else is having pet-peevs concerning the audio, lets start a thread My Astra replaced my '97 SC2 and I'm trying to get familiar with all these new gee-whiz-bang gadgets. I understand the concept of SDVC, but I can't find any explanation what the numbers 0-5 are supposed to signify for the settings. Would somebody be kind enough to enlighten me? Thanks! A LOT of radios do not scroll the ID3 tag text. Some do- some dont, and the ASTRA radios dont (and there's no way to change that) 2.There is absolutley NO mention of such a volume influencing feature (other than the SDVC) anywhere of the electronic service Informaton data for the Astra. However I wouldnt be surprized if there WAS some sort of built-in protection mode. Will definately look into it further. However I wouldnt be surprized if there WAS some sort of built-in protection mode. Will definately look into it further. Would the maker of the unit (I think Blaupunkt), be able to tell me much more about it? I will try and get in touch with someone from blaupunkt on the radio that is in the Astra. Thanks again for the searching and help:) The Opera was in a 3XR and the 30 was in a 5XE, but even then, we thought the sound was better. My wife plays the stereo a lot louder than I do, but neither of us heard any cut off or cut out from either system.

Will have to wait until Black Betty shows up in April and I can get the decible meter out to see what the system produces. Most people feel the stereos in the Astra sound very good- with a slight edge going to the CDC40. If your has an issue in sound quality, perhaps theres something wrong with it. Perhaps the volume issue is some sort of Dynamic Compression feature. I will look to see if theres some way to turn something like that ON or OFF with the TECH2 next week. WopOnTour Perhaps the volume issue is some sort of Dynamic Compression feature. I will look to see if theres some way to turn something like that ON or OFF with the TECH2 next week. WopOnTour There is nothing wrong with the sound quality whatsoever, it is the volume that is the issue. You can turn the volume up to a point (no pops, no crackling, sounds great, sounds like they can handle alot more), but the volume will not go any louder (and it is at this point that it fluctuates in volume). Maybe this is a feature that is common, but I have never had a system that did this, it was always the speakers that were the limitation and not the amplifier. It is just disappointing because i thought with an upgrade (premium speakers), it would be better. The standard radio display looks like early 80s MS-DOS. No joking! It's just awful. That whole display pod is the one thing I really dislike about the Astra. Combined with the orangish lighting (versus blue electroluminesence) it indeed reminds me of the MFD on a 1986 Citroen I once owned. That pod would look so much better with a proper GPS screen sittting there, but not even available as an option for us in the USA. I think Saturn will lose a lot of sales to the Civic because of this. Slowly turn the volume up, it will get to a point where it is loud, and then the system will reduce the level automatically and the volume knob will not have any affect on turning it louder (this is not the speed volume control, it does this stationary).

So I called the technician at my dealership and he is going to try and find some information.I guess ti might be a normal behavior of the Blaupunkt amp. It would be interesting to put an SPL meter to test it, so I'll try to do that as soon as I can (I have one for HT) The volume knob is totally digital so once you reach 100% it wont go any higher if you continue to turn it. You can actually see the volum knob input on the sca tool. I messed with it a bot today. For me it's PLENTY loud, and I like it cranked. Maybe try super cooling your radio to see if it improves. This will blow the maximum cold air volume into the radio fan inlet. THEN see if it still has the volume issue. HTH WopOnTour Overtemp, I don't think so as this happens as soon as the car is turned on, and the cd player or radio has been off for a while. I did turn it up fast like you said and it was LOUD, but then the volume reduced, quite drastically. I like loud systems, I like to be able to roll the windows down and listen to tunes.Trust me, the amplifier chips will get hot, fast. This is just a theory, taking a shot in the dark about the problem. I've also read somewhere that the Advanced audio system has 225 watts, still trying to find the source on that. I was having the same problem with mine as well, I would turn the volume up and it would automatically drop it. After looking through the Astra manual, I found some information on page 6-15: Speed-Dependant Volume Control (SDVC) SDVC automatically adjusts the volume for road and wind noise as the vehicle increases or decreases speed while driving. To adjust SDVC: 1. Press SETTINGS and select Volume from the menu. 2. Select SDVC. 3. Turn the multifunction knob to adjust the level. 4. Press the multifunction knob to save the setting. Haven't tried it myself yet, I'll post some information once I give it a try. No that is the first thing I checked. I set it to 0. Update: I turned the volume to the level that is currently the limit, still had the same issue. It's going in for service Wednesday afternoon, I will post the findings.May want to make sure the CD's are optimized to display track titles. Way back when they first started making CD's they didn't add metadata for CD players to display, and though the technology is there, I come across many CD's that still don't add track titles, try some more CD's This is a really annoying feature and I think it happens with all CDC40 systems. So it is happening to you as well. I have a loaner Astra (for the past 8 days), waiting on parts for mine. The CEL issue and the CD player issue. It should be possible to take a lead off one of the rear speakers for the sound, but without a power source in the trunk or center console you could be in for a lot of wire routing. They're the experts in this sort of thing. This is a really annoying feature and I think it happens with all CDC40 systems. Mazda has a similar issue with their 2008.5 Mazda3 radio. Mazda has issued a TSB to replace the radio with a new one. The software needs to be reflashed but it cannot be done at the dealer. The Mazda radio comes from Sanyo so I wonder if the Astra's is also from Sanyo. My understanding is that Blaupunkt designed it but then the manufacturing is outsourced. The Astras in Europe have had various manufacturers for their radios although the look and function has never changed. Also the base system has 6 speakers. Well the loaner I have has that extra speaker in the middle of the dash (well the grille is there, so looks like it might have 7, unless that grille is there just in case), so I am wondering what the overall difference is between the setup in my car (with Adv.

Audio) and the base system as far as speakers go (not all the DIC, equalizer and all that jazz). Peformance wise, someone tell me why the Adv. Audio is better. Is that a stereo speaker, or is it there for onstar. I have the CDC30, and as I recall when I initially called onstar the audio came from the front dash No idea where GM put the onstar-speaker but the center is a logical place. That or the A-pillar. Strange, I thought that since I have the CD30 mp3 I wouldn't have the 7th speaker, and it's not just for onstar, I confirmed it works with the radio as well. So who doesn't get these speakers, the people who get the XE's? (mine is a 5xr). Now I am getting ideas about dedicating this speaker to blutooth or something. hmmm. The more sensible germans have seven, we have three. Then there's the eastern european poverty spec cars.
